Sonny
We had Sonny promise to meet us back at the Temple at 7 PM to take us back to the railway station. He spoke about 3 words of English and really those words were mumbling until we could halfway understand each other, so it was a gamble whether he’d be back or not.
We waited for a few minutes where he dropped us but we were a little late so we thought he left. We had to grab our bags still so we went to do that and BAM, Sonny came out of nowhere. Sneaky guy Sonny is.
On the way back to the railway station, I’m pretty sure he asked Marlee to take him to America, so basically to marry him, and asked if his Dad had a job for him. This is all relative though because again, there was so much mumbling involved. Sonny was also wearing like a 3-piece suit which I decided was for Marlee.
I told Marlee that Mr. Weinberg could stand out in his field by having Sonny transport his clients to and from his office. Mr. Weinberg is a clinical therapist and really, after therapy, who should be driving anyway? No problem! Sonny is here to take you home.
Then, Sonny got a little greedy. We gave him 1 USD which is 51 rupees - more than we should have paid. But he wanted rupees so I asked for change for 100 and he said he didn’t have any. And we didn’t have any smaller bills. We tried to just leave after explaining the USD was worth 51 rupees but he wouldn’t stop. Finally, I had to go find change and I gave him the 50. He was asking for Marlee’s rings and asking for us to give him the full 100.
Sonny just SMASHED our precious view of him in a matter of like 5 seconds, which I think is pretty difficult to do.
