Delhi
Our day in Delhi was… interesting.
We woke up around 8:30 and Marlee began packing up all of her things (she had been staying at Niyaz’s for a few days so she had unpacked quite a bit), we got groceries for Niyaz and Burahn helped us get a rickshaw (small cart type thing used as a cab kind of).
We went to the office (travel agency) to take care of some things and drop our stuff. I found out at the office that Indian people love Justin Bieber. And when I say Indian people, I mean Indian men. And when I say love Justin Bieber, I mean they play “Baby” on YouTube repeatedly at work.
Marlee’s friend Omar took her phone to get fixed (story to come), and I helped translate from Spanish to English for one of the guys customers at the travel agency. Considering I once thought procrastination was a Spanish word (I was 7 and my genius older brother used it and he was taking Spanish in school at the time so it made sense), I did pretty good and helped them get their first business of the day. The man was from Argentina and didn’t know any English or Hindi - he looked a little overwhelmed and I just wanted to take him home with us. Marlee wanted to rub his head (he was bald).
Sa Chin came to pick us up a little later and we went to the Red Fort (basically red stone) and the Indian Gate, which at night, is pretty romantic and kind of cool. During the day, it’s eh but I got pictures at both times because we drove by during the day.
Solid day.
